Iran's parliamentary delegation, led by Miyaneh MP Hossein Hashemi, arrived in Mexico City Saturday night to
take part in the 110th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The 12-member delegation is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with Mexican officials, IRNA reported.
More than 130 parliamentary delegations from IPU member states are to attend the five-day meeting.
The participants are expected to exchange views on international political, economic and social developments, promotion of peace, establishment of stability in disputed territories and their reconstruction, efforts to set up a fair atmosphere for international trade, promotion of democracy to support human rights, reconciliation between countries and cooperation among nations.
