Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani has said his country will not provide the US with any facilities, such as the use of airports and air space, for possible military operations against Afghanistan.
The minister on Monday stressed Iran's objection to any military operation against Afghanistan, and said the "vigilant" Iranian armed forces were fully monitoring all military and political developments in the region, according to the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
International efforts to accurately identify those behind the terrorist attack in the US, he said, could lead to a convergence of the global community in the campaign against terrorism.
Underlining “non-submission to domination” and “foreign
pressure” as unchangeable traits of Iranian people and their officials, he said the US military buildup in the region could have unpredictable consequences - Albawaba.com
