Iranian and Emirati foreign ministers met Saturday on the sidelines of an urgent meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), which is aimed at addressing the Palestinian crisis, reported Al Jazeera satellite channel.
The TV report said Qatar arranged the meeting to find solutions to the territorial disputes between the two countries.
Both countries have said they will never withdraw their claims to three strategic islands in the Arabian Gulf, which Iran has held since 1971, when Britain pulled out of the region.
Iran has rejected an appeal by the Arab leaders at the March Arab summit, calling on the Muslim country to accept international arbitration - Albawaba.com
