Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said Friday Iran is for a logical dialogue that will help solve problems. "Our system's word is that we have since the beginning been supporting dialogue in nuclear field. We believe in a logic-and-reason-based dialogue in pursuit of a solution to problems, not one that would serve as a medium for mischievous acts," said Ayatollah Khatami in his second Friday prayers sermon.
According to IRNA, he said that the Iranian nation is a wise and brave nation and will respond logic with logic, adding, "However, if enemies, especially Israelis and their US supporters, wish to speak in language of force, they should rest assured they will be dealt a heavy blow on the face by the Iranian nation."
"The politically retarded individuals should know ... that the Iranian nation, irrespective of opinion diversifications, are psychologically against foreigners' interventions.
"Given such an attitude, if they (the westerners) wish to have a negative attitude towards the Iranian nation, they will face uproar on part of our nation, who will make them (the Western states) disappointed of any (wrong) gesture," stated Ayatollah Khatami.
