Iran on Sunday cautioned against adoption by the UN security Council of any resolution against its nuclear program. Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said, while addressing reporters: "If the UN Security Council adopts a resolution against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran will revise its policies on the level of its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."
"Iran's decisions in this regard in the future will be made based on decisions of the Group 5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- Russia, China, Britain, France and the US -- plus Germany)," he added, according to IRNA.
The spokesman voiced regret over the stance recently adopted by the three European states (Germany, France, and Britain) on Iran's nuclear case, saying, "They have taken up the wrong course.
"We hope they would return to the right course, which is that of negotiations." Hosseini stated that the draft resolution presented by the three European states was very close to the American stance.
