Iran's defense minister said Sunday that a stepped up military presence of the United States in the Persian Gulf region would have "unpredictable" consequences, the official IRNA agency reported.
"The development and reinforcement of US military forces in the region will have unpredictable consequences," Admiral Ali Shamkhani was quoted as saying.
"Iran's armed forces are watching the military and political changes and evolutions in the region very carefully," he added -- TEHRAN (AFP)
