Iran-Turkey trade amounted to US$2.761 billion in 2004, the Turkish State Statistic Institute said Tuesday, according to IRIB. "The figure is 15.3 percent higher than 2003 which registered dlrs 2,395 billion."
In December 2004, Turkey's exports to Iran came to US$ 75.387 million and its imports form Iran was US$ 138 million.
Iran's share of Turkey's total exports in 2004 was 1.3 percent and its imports stood at two percent.
Iran-Turkey trade balance was in Iran's favor in the first 10 months of 2004, the report added.
The report said Iran-Turkey exchanges went up by more than 13 percent to US$ 2.244 billion from January to October 2004 from US$ 1.985 billion in the said period the year before.
