ALBAWABA - Kammal Harrazi, Iran's counselor to Ayatollah Khamenei, sent a strong warning to Israel, indicating that Iran would reconsider its nuclear policy in the event that Israel made nuclear threats. The already tense ties between the two countries have been made worse by this announcement.

The warning is given in the context of escalating hostilities between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as a result of Iran's unilateral departure from the nuclear accord after the United States' withdrawal.

President Donald Trump of the United States made the statement that set off the action, which caused Iran to dramatically increase its uranium enrichment levels to almost 60%.

Ayatollah Khamenei's earlier fatwa against the use of nuclear weapons is referenced by Harrazi when he discusses a possible modification of Iran's nuclear policy. On the other hand, Iranian authorities indicate that Khamenei's directive could need to be reevaluated in light of the apparent threats from Israel.

Significant occurrences such as Israel's assault on an Iranian consulate building in Syria, which resulted in deaths among Iranian generals, and Iran's retaliatory attacks on Israel using drones and missiles have characterized the recent escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran.

Concerns about regional security have increased as a result of Israel's targeting of critical nuclear infrastructure in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
