Iran deplored the expulsion of two of its UN mission's guards in New York, the official IRNA news agency reported.

An official with the Iranian foreign ministry said Tuesday that such behaviour runs against international conventions on providing facilities for staffs of foreign missions at international organizations and lacks political logic and moral value, the agency said.

It added these measures are aimed at preventing missions at the UN Headquarters in New York from carrying out their assigned duties and are not in conformity with acceptable norms.

According to press reports, the two Iranian security guards drew suspicions from US authorities after they were seen filming in New York, and were promptly ordered to leave.
