Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini on Tuesday strongly condemned the new UNSC resolution against Iran which "runs counter to IAEA rules and regulations."
According to IRNA, Hosseini called the resolution as a politically-motivated move which lacks legal basis and is totally 'unacceptable'. The Iranian official added the new resolution has ignored the fact that Tehran has had extensive cooperation beyond its commitments and solved all remaining issues with the IAEA.
Iran answered all questions posed by its foes such as the US in various periods of time, he said. The new anti-Iran UNSC resolution has "brought disgrace to IAEA and the UNSC," he stressed. Continuation of such a move would leave no impact on the will of the Iranian nation and its government, Hosseini noted, adding that the country would never give up its "legitimate rights to benefit from peaceful nuclear technology within NPT."
