Iran and Russia on Sunday signed an agreement to return spent fuel of the Bushehr Power Plant to Russia. The agreement was signed by Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency Chief Alexander Rumyantsev and Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Gholam Reza Aqazadeh.

According to IRNA, Rumyantsev and Aqazadeh held their second round of talks Sunday morning. In this round of talks, the two sides discussed the progress made in the first unit of the Bushehr Power Plant and the time of its inauguration. Mohammad Saeidi, an IAEO deputy, said that Iran did not accept the Russian side's proposed time, adding that "but we will try to reach an agreement on time schedule."
