ALBAWABA- Yoav Gallant, the Israeli Defense Minister, expressed today that Iran is allegedly aiming to escalate tensions during the month of Ramadan by initiating what he refers to as the "second stage" of the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
Israeli Channel 12 reported Gallant's statement, noting that he made these remarks during an evaluation of the military situation within the Israeli Central Command.
Gallant emphasized that Israel is closely monitoring not only Iran but also Hezbollah and Hamas for any attempts to escalate tensions during Ramadan.
He specifically referenced the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, initially announced by Hamas on October 7th last year, and warned that Iran's actions could further destabilize the region. Golan stressed the importance of taking measures to prevent such escalation.
