Iran will resume nuclear talks in New York with world powers in February, according to Agence France Presse Monday.
A source close to the negotiation process told IRNA news agency that "Negotiations between Iran and the P5 1 group on a definitive agreement will take place in New York at the end of Bahman," in reference to the Iranian month that ends on the 19th of February.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif told reporters Saturday that the talks would start up again in February, but did not indicate that the talks would take place in New York.
As part of the talks, Zarif will meet with EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton who represents the "P5+1"--Britain, China, France, Russia, the U.S., and Germany.
The talks aim to design a roadmap for the practical implementation of the landmark interim nuclear deal that was agreed upon in November last year.
The deal took affect January 20 confirms that Iran is committed to curbing its uranium enrichment to five percent and halting production of 20 percent-enriched uranium over the next six months.
In exchange, the EU and the U.S. have committed to "ease" economic sanctions that have crippled the Iranian economy.
