ALBAWABA- In a major escalation, Iran has launched a coordinated missile attack targeting Iraq and Qatar, reportedly in retaliation for recent U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
Explosions were heard over the Qatari capital, Doha, while sirens sounded in neighboring Bahrain, signaling the seriousness of the assault.
According to Axios, Iran fired six ballistic missiles directly at U.S. Military positions in Qatar, specifically targeting Al Udeid Air Base.
Early reports confirm that multiple missiles reached Doha, with some intercepted by air defense systems. Circulating footage shows the missiles being intercepted in the skies above the capital.
This attack comes just hours after Qatar preemptively closed its airspace to all flights, citing an imminent threat believed to be linked to Iranian retaliation.
