Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, also known as the Basij, will launch a defensive exercise in case of a nuclear attack, the official IRNA news agency reported Sunday.
"The exercises aimed at confronting nuclear strikes will be organized by members of the Islamic Basij militia in Mazandaran province" in the northern part of Iran, a military spokesman said.
An estimated 25,000 Revolutionary Guards will take part in the exercise near Mazandaran's capital of Sari which hosts one of Iran's main power stations, he added. (Albawaba.com)
