ALBAWABA -  Iran will respond to the recent death of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau in Tehran, with great caution, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who made this announcement on Saturday.

"The Zionist regime's assault on our security and sovereignty will not go unanswered," said Araghchi in his speech. He promised that Iran will respond with precision, timing, and thorough consideration of all relevant variables.

Iran is determined to react without holding back, as Araghchi said, adding, "We will act at the right time and in the right way." "We will not fall into any traps that might be set for us," he stated.

Additionally, fresh details about the inquiry into Haniyeh's killing have been made public by Iranian officials. There is no indication that there was inside participation in the killing, according to Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib. Tehran has threatened revenge, accusing Israel of masterminding the murder.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement that the killing was "planned and executed by the Zionist regime with backing from the U.S. administration." In a statement, the Guard called the incident a "terrorist act" including a short-range missile that resulted in a huge explosion outside of Haniyeh's home.

A warning was issued at the end of the statement: "The Zionist regime will face severe and decisive punishment at the appropriate time and place."

On July 31, not long after witnessing Iranian President Masoud Bezhishkian's inauguration, Haniyeh and his aide were assassinated. This happened only a few hours after Fouad Shukr, the head of Hezbollah, was killed in an attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
