Iran: Fuel production enters industrial stage

Vice-President and Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Reza Aqazadeh said Monday that the Islamic Republic's fuel production has now entered an industrial stage and the nuclear fuel cycle has thus been completed in the country.

 

Addressing the national nuclear festival, underway in Natanz nuclear site on Monday, Aqazadeh said that over the past year, 270 tons of UF6 have been produced in the country.

 

He said that undoubtedly, the project will as a big research, scientific and industrial work marks a big event in history of the great Iranian nation.

 

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, head of the Islamic Revolution Leader's office Mohammadi Golpayegani, presidential advisors and deputies, Experts Assembly members, cabinet members, Secretary of the Supreme National Security council, Majlis representatives, deputy ministers, local officials and foreign ambassadors were present in the ceremony.
