ALBAWABA - Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) announced on Thursday that the army destroyed several American military assets in an attack on an American base in Jordan.
According to a statement released by the Iranian military, the attack destroyed a radar for the U.S. THAAD missile defence system, a Patriot system, a C-RAM radar and a helicopter hangar.
Mehr news agency reported, citing a security official in Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran, that the U.S. targeted near the passenger terminal at the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iraq.
The deputy governor of Khuzestan said two people were killed and 11 were injured in the U.S. attack on the crossing.
Videos were shared from the scene of the clash at the Shalamcheh border crossing, Khuzestan Province, on the Iran-Iraq border following the airstrikes by American forces.
It is worth noting that the Shalamcheh border crossing is considered one of the main transit routes between the two countries.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Thursday morning (Jordan time) that its forces completed another round of strikes against Iran for the 12th consecutive night.
