Iran on Thursday rejected a report by the Los Angeles Times on Iran's nuclear capacity and weapons of mass destruction development.

According to IRIB, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi termed the report of the American daily as "unreal", which was aimed at negative propaganda and disinformation against Iran.

"Several allegations raised by the report on Iran's cooperation with other countries in order to attain nuclear technology are sheer lies," he said adding, "this is an irresponsible report and an obvious misuse of professional journalism."

The Los Angeles times reported on Monday Iran appears to be in the late stages of building a nuclear bomb and has sought help from scientists in Russia, China, North Korea and Pakistan. (Albawaba.com)
