ALBAWABA - Iranian state TV denied on Tuesday reports claiming that missiles were launched from Tehran toward Israel after the ceasefire agreement came into effect.

Iranian television said that reports of missile launches from Iran are false.

Earlier today, the Israeli army said it detected rocket launches targeting northern Israel despite a ceasefire deal announced by US President Donald Trump. Israeli Channel 12 reported that two rockets were launched from Iran and were intercepted by the army.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz ordered the military to respond forcefully to what he said was a "violation of a ceasefire". He added that the Israeli army was instructed to carry out high-intensity operations against targets in Tehran.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel agreed to the ceasefire deal with Iran that was proposed by Trump on Tuesday morning.

Netanyahu's office explained in a statement that Tel Aviv reached all its war goals in Iran and that it agreed to the ceasefire.

"THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!" Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.

On the other hand, Iran didn't make any announcement regarding the proposed ceasefire deal by the US president, as Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said that "as of now, there is NO 'agreement' on ceasefire or cessation of military operations," according to AFP.
