Iran denied Tuesday the alleged cancellation of the Modex 2000 Exhibition, the first cosmetics exhibition since the 1979-Islamic Revolution, Iran's official news agency (IRNA) reported.
Abbas Esmaeli, executive-director of the Modex 2000, denied a report published lately by a Tehran-based daily, claiming the cancellation of the exhibition, apparently after conservatives protested to the authorities against the show.
The event attracted the participation of 10 foreign companies from Azerbaijan, China, Russia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and South Africa.
"Iran is the biggest market for cosmetics products in this region," Esmaili said -- Albawaba.com
