Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mehdi Karubi criticized on Tuesday the "silence" of the world regarding Israeli "aggression" toward the Palestinian people.

Karubi said in statement before the public parliamentary session that while the world was seeking to bolster human rights, “barbaric Israeli violence" continued.

According to the statement, cited by the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA, Karubi also criticized “the weak stand taken by the Islamic world, towards this crisis.”

He said, "It is shameful, that some countries admit that Israel is a friendly country."

The speaker paid tribute to the leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abu Ali Mustapha, who was assassinated Monday by the Israeli army in his office in Ramallah - Albawaba.com
