Iran’s parliament approved on Monday a bill on merging the ministries of oil and energy, reported the official Iranian news agency.
The merger is part of a plan on “trimming the state sector and reduction of parallel state bodies which often compete for influence and resources,” said a parliamentary source.
Iran has merged the former ministry of industries and the
former ministry of mines and metals into the ministry of industries
