Investment in Iran’s petrochemical industries reached 4.5 billion dollars in the past three yeas, an official said, cited by the official Iranian news agency (IRNA) on Sunday.
Deputy oil minister, Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh, said that investments last year totaled 2.7 billion dollars.
Nematzadeh, who is also the managing director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said that investments are expected to reach 1.5 billion dollars this year.
Meanwhile, the official said that the PNC has recently signed three agreements worth 800 million dollars with European companies in the polymer, polyethylene and peripheral industries.
He added that a seminar on petrochemical industries will be held in Tehran early May.
