As part of the Mind’s Pleasure seminars, Watani, the UAE social development program, presents this Friday, Dr. Yehia Abdul Hamid, expert in self-esteem counseling who will present the motions that support the structure of an ideal family. During the seminar held at the DCCI, Dr. Abdul Hamid will highlight the key efficiency habits that can be adapted by the family members to ensure its needs are met and its role in the society and the nation is preserved.

Dr Abdul Hamid is a professor and head of department at Assyout University in Egypt, and is recognized internationally for his expertise in self-esteem counseling, paradigm, paradox and REBT.

The benefits, disadvantages, and addiction to the Internet are the topics presented by Rami Kalawi, researcher at the Islamic Research Centre in Dubai, on Thursday August 2nd at 5:30pm. Kalawi will show that while the internet is a practical tool, it can be easily misused as more and more internet users in the region show symptoms of internet addiction.

Last weekend, Watani introduced expert speaker and educational consultant Dr. Basheer Al Rashidi, PhD in Educational Psychology and Issues Management and Leadership in Business. Dr. Al Rashidi offered professional advice to the audience about maintaining a positive attitude while managing challenging situations and overcoming difficult crossroads in life.

On Friday, The Mind’s Pleasure seminars hosted UAEU Assistant Professor, Dr. Mona Albahar who holds a Masters in Sociology of the Family as well as diplomas in Leadership and Survey Research. Dr. Albahar presented the appropriate tactics for parents to preserve the national identity of their children in the current globalization age.

The Watani-DSS Mind’s Pleasure is set to introduce expert speakers in the main auditorium of DCCI every Thursday and Friday until August 24. The seminars are open to the public and address a number of compelling family, social, and national issues relating to the social and educational development of the UAE.
