Calling overseas from Qatar is now more affordable than ever, with the launch of a series of new “Friends and Family” packs, which cut the cost of international calls by 25 percent for customers’ most important numbers.
The Friends and Family packs enable Qtel customers to pick the three key international numbers in their life – parents, old school-friends, colleagues or family overseas – and enjoy a 25 percent discount on international tariffs on these calls around the clock and every day of the week.
For the first time, the Packs are being made available for HALA Pay As You Talk customers, meaning that every Qtel mobile phone customer can benefit.
Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director, Group Communications, Qtel, said: “Qtel continues to look for new ways to add value for our customers, and this significant reduction in overseas calling costs provides an immediate benefit that everyone can enjoy. Across our customer research, international calling rates was identified as an area where we could provide significant improvements, so we have revamped the ‘Friends and Family’ offer with immediate effect.”
As an additional benefit, the activation fee for the “Friends and Family” packs has been slashed from QR25 to QR10 for Shahry – Pay Monthly customers, and the monthly fee has also dropped to QR10.
Hala customers can benefit from the same great rates, with the activation fee and the monthly charge costing just QR10 each.
By reducing customers’ costs at all levels, Qtel’s Friends and Family packs will enable customers to stay in touch with their friends and family for longer, and provide them with better value for every call.
“The launch of our Hala Friends and Family product is yet another initiative underlining Qtel’s commitment to delivering customer satisfaction and value. Our ‘Let’s connect’ message reflects our determination to ensure that customers can stay in touch with friends and loved-ones as often as they want to,” said Al Mutawa.
Shahry customers – Pay Monthly customers can order the service by dialing 114.
Hala customers can order the service using their My Services Menu which can be accessed by dialing *100#.
The enhancement offer is part of an ongoing wave of improvements being rolled-out in 2009.
