The Internal Audit Department of Dubai World recently hosted an honouring ceremony for the company’s employees, at which the integral role of department in maintaining quality and enhancing performance efficiency was stressed.
Abdulqader Obaid Ali, Director, Group Internal Audit& Quality, Dubai World, thanking the company’s staff for their efforts, congratulated the department for its significant contribution to streamlining the business procedures regarding financial management and service value measurement.
He said: “The success achieved is primarily attributed to the efforts of our human resources from the small employees to the top executives and managers who are highly involved in the continuous improvement process.”
The guest of honour, Marwan Al Qamzi, Manager, Contracts Department, Nakheel, gave a statement in which he thanked the Internal Audit Department for its efforts in ensuring the governance process of the business units.
Al Qamzi indicated the pivotal role of the department in facilitating the work of the Dubai World business units and established projects.
The ceremony featured the distribution of gifts and awards to Dubai World employees who participated in the Ramadan contests, the winners of EIA (Employee Involvement Association), and the finance verifiers of Dubai World. The event was organized by Awatif Mohammed, Head of SRS and Aisha Al Marzouqi of the Group Internal Audit Department, Dubai World.
The event was an occasion for the employees and the management to discuss various issues concerning work.
