injazat data systems launches adtek 2007: the 2nd abu dhabi it services forum
Event tackles IT services and business goals alignment
Injazat Data Systems, one of the Middle East's leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, has launched today (November 05, 2007) ADTEK 2007 – The 2nd Abu Dhabi IT Services Forum, during a press conference held at the Hilton Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Organised with the theme 'Aligning IT services with business goals', the Forum will be held at the Hilton Hotel Abu Dhabi from November 18-20, 2007, gathering influential figures in the IT services industry, who will tackle emerging issues and trends in view of the burgeoning regional IT market, particularly in Abu Dhabi.
"Injazat Data Systems is pleased to have gathered a prominent cast of sponsors and partners in staging the Forum, which reflects ADTEK's growing reputation in the regional IT community. The Forum has become an effective platform to promote high standards of excellence, and has greatly contributed in developing a knowledge culture and increasing the business value of IT services," said Eddie Cunningham, Sales and Marketing Director, Injazat Data Systems.
ADTEK 2007 has secured the support of leading organisations in the region led by platinum sponsors Dell and EMC. The Forum is also powered by gold sponsors Cisco and Citrix; silver sponsors Sun Microsystems and Itqan; workshop sponsor Microsoft; and knowledge partners ITSMF, IDC and The Injazat Institute.
"Citrix welcomes the opportunity to be part of ADTEK 2007, which has firmly established its reputation as a partner for growth and sustainable development. The Forum works as a parallel initiative to the growth programs of industry players by identifying new high-growth areas and acting as a benchmarking platform that will help improve the quality of IT services," said Naim Yazbeck, Middle East Enterprise Sales Manager, Citrix.
Injazat Data Systems expects a huge turnout for ADTEK 2007 following the remarkable success of the inaugural event in 2006, which provided an unprecedented detailed account of the UAE IT services market's long-term prospects, emerging trends and potential issues. Being a regional leader in the provision of IT services, Injazat Data Systems has organised ADTEK 2007 as part of its own regional expansion program, which is likewise anchored on the continued growth of the region's IT services industry.
"IT services and business goals alignment is a major priority for the region's CIOs," said David Beck, Storage Group Manager MENA, Sun Microsystems. “Through our participation at ADTEK 2007 we will focus on best practices for aligning service level agreements (SLA’s) with business criticality as we look at the role of IT in designing business focused SLAs,” he added.
ADTEK 2007 has been conceptualised as a comprehensive strategic networking platform for the UAE IT services community, featuring a high-profile guest list that includes CIOs, IT managers, decision-makers from public and private organisations and executives of major IT services companies.
Established in the first quarter of 2005, Injazat Data Systems is an Abu Dhabi-based joint venture between Mubadala Development Company, a wholly owned investment vehicle of the government of the emirate of Abu Dhabi; and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a global IT and business process services giant.
