Ingres Corporation, one of the world’s leading business open source solutions and services providers, will participate for the first time at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2007 – the region’s single largest event for technology.
Identifying the Middle East and Africa (MEA) as one of its strongest potential growth areas, Ingres is targeting an impressive 100 per cent year-on-year business growth and plans to launch its regional office, to be headquartered in Dubai during the event.
“With the MEA region’s IT market experiencing exponential growth, especially in the services area, we see this as the right time for us to establish our regional presence,” said Peter Toumazi, Sales Director C&E Europe, Middle East and Africa, Ingres.
During GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, Ingres will unveil its Business Intelligence (BI) appliances as well as Ingres 2006, an Open source database solution that provides enterprise-level functionality, services and support.
“Local organisations are increasingly looking for new generation tools such as BI appliances and our information management solutions and services is a clear alternative for customers and partners,” added Toumazi.
“Through our debut at an important event such as GITEX, we are confident we will be able to rejuvenate our ties with existing customers and partners, forge new relationships with the industry and raise awareness about our offerings.”
Ingres will be present at it’s partner - Emirates Computers - pavillion at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK, to be held in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 8th to 12th September 2007.
