Imdaad honours World Environment Day contests winners

Imdaad, Dubai World Group’s facility management service provider, has recently honoured the winners of environmental contests it organised during the World Environment Day celebrations early this month.

Mr. Ali Hassan Al Suweidi, Executive Director of Operations, Imdaad, presented the awards at a recent function to winners in the colouring and drawing contests which focused on environmental issues.

Mr. Suweidi said: “Imdaad saw the contests and the honouring of its winners as occasions to highlight its full commitment to environment protection. As a leading company providing facilities management solutions, we constantly come face-to-face with green issues and realise the need for new initiatives. We always adopt and implement such initiatives in all the projects we undertake. We also promote green awareness and will continue taking part in and organising similar activities as part of our commitment towards society.”

Imdaad was an active participant in the World Environment Day celebrations marked by several events held at Ibn Batutta Mall during June 5-June 8 under the theme “Global Resources. Reduce. Recycle. Reuse”. Programmes included exhibition and family activities such as colouring and drawing contests for children and a quiz competition for teenagers and adults– all on environmental themes. The contests were held for three age groups and winners selected from each category. It was conducted on recycled paper in order to highlight the importance conservation.
