IEAI and Babel Contracting Sign a Memorandum of Understanding for Building of Artificial Hangers in “Al Mushatta”

A memorandum of understanding was signed between IEAI – the owner of Al Mushatta Industrial Zone Project and Babel Contracting (BC), through which BC will apply buildings and metal hangers as part of Al Mushatta Project. The memorandum was signed by the Chairmen of IEAI and BC, Dr. Fayez Tarawneh and Eng. Ahmad Abu Zeid respectively.

The memorandum states that BC, which includes Bashar Sharayha Co. Contractors, will be hired to design and apply metallic, multi-roofed buildings and metallic hangers with an area of 3000 square meters for the purpose of containing investments and industrial events which the zone will attract. Construction will be performed under the highest international standards accredited by Kirby Building Systems Co. in addition to Jordanian standards and measurements. Practical issues plus aesthetics will be taken into consideration.

Dr. Tarawneh said: “we believe in the importance of creating these venues to attract more investments, ” adding, “investing corporations working in Al Mushatta Zone are able to own and rent these buildings for use in their activities. The buildings have the necessary flexibility to best suite the needs of the investor and the nature of the work, as they are usable as offices or as artificial hangers, in addition to their being expandable.”

Al Mushatta Industrial Zone is located between the airport, capital city of Amman and port city of Aqaba, it comprises of approx. 4200 square kilometers fully laid out with state-of –the-art infrastructure in compliance with the International Industrial Zone Standards. Complete with water wells, a power generator, road network accessibility, telecom utilities, large parking areas and sewage and water treatments plants, it was built to meet all investor requirements. Additionally, the site includes banking services, development and support services, maintenance services, customs services, medical services and four star accommodation with a business center, supermarkets and parks, all to make Al-Mushatta a complete industrial city which also attends to the quality of life and day to day requirements of its staff and investors. The project aims to attract foreign investments and to contribute to the elevating of Jordan’s real-estate industry and the kingdom’s national income. The first phase is expected to be delivered by the end of this year.

It is noteworthy that the coalition between BC and Bashar Sharayha Contractors Co. was created for the purpose of executing industrial projects, be they hangers or multiple-story buildings. Their record is filled with accomplishment in the contracting business since 1983 as they have completed a number of private and public projects which included building and erecting hangers, schools, hospitals, investment buildings, power stations and airplane hangers.
