The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) head, Mohammad ElBaradei, on Monday expressed his hope that suspension of uranium enrichment will be included in the preliminary Iran-EU agreement. Iranian and EU officials announced that in the two-day Paris meeting a preliminary accord was reached to this end which should be approved by the senior officials of the four countries.
"Despite high hopes about the outcome of the negotiations, the details of the agreements cannot yet be confirmed. "I have been told that the agreement was experimental and preliminary. Besides it has not yet been finalized. Therefore, we should be cautious and not too optimistic on the expected outcome," ElBaradei stated.
According to IRNA, the IAEA chief voiced his hope that the initial agreement will include suspension of enrichment process to prove Iran's good will. "The international community expects Iran to stop its uranium enrichment process to attract the world confidence," added ElBaradei. (albawaba.com)
