The decision comes at a crucial time as NATO seeks to bolster its ranks in response to Russia's ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

ALBAWABA- Hungary's parliament has voted to ratify Sweden's bid to join NATO, marking the culmination of over 18 months of delays that have tested the patience of the alliance. The decision followed weeks after Turkey's ratification of the same.

Sweden's accession to the alliance was contingent upon the country taking decisive actions to abolish insults of religious symbols, a condition that has now been met.

Sweden's accession to NATO was subject to rigorous scrutiny and negotiations, with the Hungarian approval serving as a pivotal milestone in the process.

It also comes at a crucial time as NATO seeks to bolster its ranks in response to Russia's ongoing conflict in Ukraine and regional stability in the face of escalating tensions in Eastern Europe.
