Hundreds were injured on Wednesday in unprecedented clashes between Israeli troops and thousands of Jewish extremists in an effort to evacuate the West Bank settlement of Amona.
Thousands of youths attempted to stop the evacuation process by barricading themselves inside structures, and by throwing stones, bottles and other objects at Israeli soldiers while shouting insults at them.
One female settler yelled to a soldiers, according to Ynet, "You stepped on me in the past. Now I'm pregnant – just run over me again."
Eyewitnesses said that thick smoke could be seen rising over outposts. Dozens others were injured overnight in similar violent clashes at the settlement.
Amongst the injured were two Israeli parliament members, MK Effie Eitam, who sustained head wounds after being hit by stones, and MK Arieh Eldad, who had his hand broken and fainted.
Earlier in the day, Israel's High Court of Justice rejected a petition filed by settlers to stop the planned demolition of homes in Amona.
Police throughout Israel were reportedly on high alert in fear of extremist reprisals.
