Several huge blasts were reported in Baghdad Saturday night. A U.S. army spokesman said he heard two explosions, but there was no immediate information on what had exploded or whether anyone was injured.
Reuters said at least one explosion was heard coming from an area of the city, where the U.S.-occupation administration has its headquarters.
Earlier Saturday, U.S. forces in Iraq bombed targets in ousted leader Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, near the site where a U.S. Army helicopter crashed and burned one day earlier, killing all six Americans on board.
In Fallujah, two American soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb exploded near their convoy. Another U.S. soldier was wounded in the attack. And in Mosul, witnesses said Iraqi resistance fighters fired at a vehicle carrying what appeared to be American soldiers, wounding several of them. (Albawaba.com)
