Huber Engineered Materials, a division of the J.M. Huber Corporation, announced today it has confirmation from ECOCERT that 17 of its high performing Zeodent® dental silica products have received certification they conform to the Natural and Organic Cosmetics Standards for raw materials.
Huber’s Zeodent dental products allow manufacturers the ability to achieve targeted performances in cleaning, viscosity building, visual appearance and mouthfeel. With the ECOCERT confirmation, toothpaste manufacturers can now seek organic certification when formulating Zeodent silicas with natural, organic and homeopathic ingredients.
“Huber is the trusted and reliable source for dental silicas,” says Vince Polito, global marketing manager – oral care. “ECOCERT validation enhances our product offering to customers, who require independent certification of their raw materials for organic labelled products.”
ECOCERT is one of Europe’s leading organic certification bodies, whose activities are governed accordingly by the public authorities and legislation. Its seal of approval is highly prized by the region’s prestige organic brands and is also used in the Americas and Asian Pacific region. Huber’s decision to seek ECOCERT certification is aligned with the growing movement of consumer demand for natural and organic products in the oral health care market.
“Huber is constantly looking at market trends so our products exceed expectations,” explains Polito. “Many consumers are looking for natural ways to achieve good oral health and ingredients of a botanical nature that leverage healing properties of herbal, citric and plant extracts are becoming more and more popular.”
