Increasingly Oil & Gas companies are seeing the need to improve the communication capability of their business. The online availability of information and data that can be accessed, transmitted and updated instantly is fast becoming a key requirement, as is the need for fast and reliable connectivity between fixed installations and mobile units. Huawei’s new generation WiMAX technology, part of a wider product and services portfolio, is progressively becoming a suitable solution within the sector.
Huawei’s Enterprise solutions are flexible, scalable solutions that meet business and security challenges simply and cost-effectively. These technologies can lead to competitive advantages, reduced costs and improved productivity and customer service for the companies that implement them.
Ihab Ghattas, Chief Business Development Office of Huawei’s MENA region, said: ‘Huawei has worked with a number of major Oil & Gas companies, in this region and in China, where it has advised on and deployed new technologies that provide effective solutions to the industry’s challenges. The enterprise sector is increasingly becoming a focus for Huawei and, other than in the Oil & Gas arena, the company’s full range of services and equipment are successfully meeting the requirements of businesses in a number of other sectors.’
He added: ‘Voice, storage and network security are the fundamental elements of Huawei’s enterprise network business. These focus on the enterprise’s communication efficiency, decreasing total cost of ownership and increasing the company’s core competitiveness.’
