HSBC organised its first US Dollar Clearing Seminar for Financial Institutions in Dubai at the Emirates Towers Hotel. Over 70 participants from various banks within the Middle East attended the seminar which was hosted by Mr. Michael B. Gallagher, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Global Transactional Banking NAFTA, HSBC Bank USA, N.A. and Mr Gary Boon, Regional Head of Financial Institutional Sales, Global Transactional Banking, HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, Dubai.

"HSBC Bank USA, N.A. is a major provider of US dollar services to Financial Institutions globally and I'm absolutely delighted that this is being recognized in the Middle East.  More clients than ever are choosing HSBC Bank USA as its US dollar services and I believe that this momentum will continue as more banks see that our products and customer service 'add value' to their own service proposition,” stated Mr. Gallagher.

Mr Boon said “This seminar provided a tremendous opportunity for financial executives to understand the ever changing US environment, see the benefits of our product offering in the US and to meet Michael, in a very relaxed and enjoyable environment. I have already received very good feedback from the attendees and we look forward to organizing a similar event in 2007.”
