HP hosts Thai kickboxing competition to introduce high performance entertainment and gaming desktop PC
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 14th May 2007 – HP Middle East today announced the launch of its new consumer desktop series, the HP Pavilion a6000 Desktop PC, at its exclusive Thai kickboxing competition held at the Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.
The event, attended by HP’s partners, customers and retailers, challenged local Thai kick boxers to compete to find the ‘HP Best Performer’ to celebrate the launch of the high performance entertainment and gaming a6000 Desktop PC. The desktop PC comes with NVIDIA® GeForce™ 7300 LE graphic card which holds 64 MB of dedicated memory, and is powered with TurboCache technology to boost up graphics memory to 320 MB total.
The new desktop PC is elegant in style with a piano-black finish and refined silver trim and comes fully equipped with Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium and Intel® Pentium® D Processor 925 Dual Core. The processor provides the flexibility and performance to handle multimedia entertainment, digital photo editing, even multiple users, simultaneously, so while you’re multi-tasking, so is your desktop, and you get to accomplish more while running multiple applications, such as editing video while downloading music.

The new exciting features including a power button positioned on the top of the chassis for easy reach, a built-in bay for removable digital storage and a more easily accessible media card reader to simplify enjoyment of digital music, videos and photos.
The desktop comes with a keyboard and optical mouse and is fully equipped with integrated speakers and side hot keys for easy use, and optional HP Pocket Media Drive. With a comfort front edge, the keyboard also neatly nests into the monitor when you are not using it, to ensure it fits perfectly and neatly into your home.
HP’s BrightView Technology is the latest and greatest in LCD screen technology that provides clearer images and higher contrast. The monitor also has an option of ‘Pivot’ and ‘Tilt’, with small Teflon feet on the bottom of the HP monitor base that allow you to move the monitor from side to side to easily share the screen with others or move it to view the monitor from another area in the room. With the new ‘My Display’ set-up software, seen for the first time with the HP Pavilion a6000 Desktop PC, you can now have a much more user friendly experience to adjust the settings for colour, brightness and volume. Other innovative features include the ‘Quick View’, hot key on the front of the monitor that moves into different work environments. It automatically adjusts brightness, contrast and other settings with one touch of the button for the menu to select a gaming, photo editing, movie or text mode.
