Recently named by IDC as the #1 provider of personal computers, printers and servers to small and mid-sized businesses worldwide, HP is on a roll at Saudi GITEX this year. HP’s partners will display sleek new notebooks, desktops, digital cameras, scanners, printers and more - everything to make capturing, managing and sharing digital content easier, faster and more rewarding. Saudi GITEX will be held at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre and runs from 23 – 27 April 2006.
HP Middle East aims to continuously improve its relationships with customers and partners across the region and its investment in Saudi Arabia is a key component of this strategy. Significantly, HP was the first vendor to establish a local assembly plant in the Kingdom, demonstrating its ability to anticipate the market potential before its competitors. The objective of HP’s presence at GITEX KSA is to make its large and comprehensive product and services portfolio even more accessible to customers and to strengthen relationships with its Saudi channel.
HP’s partners will feature its latest products including notebook PCs. Show visitors can learn more by visiting HP’s partner’s stands at the exhibition and their shop booths in GITEX Shopper. HP products will be showcased by Jarir, eXtra and PC Net.
Mobile entertainment
HP will be encouraging Saudi GITEX visitors to ‘go mobile’ with its latest range of consumer notebook PCs. The HP Pavillion dv1000 Series Entertainment Notebook PC converges the experience of home theater and mobile computing by allowing users to watch movies and listen to music in just seconds, making it an ideal way to enjoy entertainment at home. With the introduction of HP QuickPlay, accessing digital entertainment is faster than ever as full system startup is bypassed. With just the touch of a DVD or music button, one can enjoy and easily control content with an intuitive interface and dedicated media control buttons.
HP will also have its thinnest, lightest pocket PCs displayed on its partner stands. Designed for individuals on the go, the award winning iPAQs are ideal for the travel-intensive professional and personal lives common to many Saudi people. Robust models such as the HP iPAQ hx2790, offer a true "office in your pocket" integrating biometrics security, wireless LAN and Bluetooth. Also on display will be the HP iPAQ hw6515 mobile messenger, which offers multiple messaging, navigation and imaging capabilities in a stylish and lightweight design.
“HP is simplifying the path for Saudi consumers who are eager to add mobility to their lives but wary of the complexity and technical challenges. Together with our partners at the exhibition, we are empowering customers to take full advantage of mobility in ways they've never experienced before and to change the way they do business and how they connect to information, communication and even entertainment," said Anil Gandhi, General Manager, Personal Systems Group, HP Middle East.
Quality, convenience and affordability
Saudi GITEX provides an ideal forum to encourage Saudi people to enrich their professional and personal lives with innovative, vibrant imaging at a manageable price. Consumers will be able to experience the newly launched HP LaserJet 3000 All-in-One (AiO) series with improved performance, integrated networking and enhanced paper handling. The new printing systems are designed to allow cost-conscious small and medium businesses (SMBs) the ability to scan and print professional quality laser documents at an affordable price.
“Increasing productivity and efficiency while saving money and desktop space has always been a critical need of our SMB customers in the Kingdom,” said Amr Hassan, General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Middle East. “The new HP LaserJet 3000 All-in-Ones were designed to provide SMBs with professional printing, faxing, copying and scanning capabilities in one very affordable space-saving machine.”
Strike a pose with digital imaging
At the show, HP and partners will be asking Saudi consumers to strike a pose with HP’s Photosmart R927 Digital Camera. No bigger than a deck of cards, this style-led, visually appealing camera features a wealth of advanced features and is sure to inspire budding Saudi photographers to enjoy life more with digital imaging. With 3x optical zoom and 8.2 megapixel (MP) resolution, keen photographers can enlarge any unique shots up to poster size, without damaging image quality.
“Photographers of all levels can take advantage of a full suite of HP’s most advanced Real Life technologies, which have been designed to allow users to take impressive photographs every time,” said Hassan.
“Experts from HP and its partners will be on hand at the show to help visitors learn more about how HP products can help them take that perfect shot, whether it be for business or pleasure,” he added.
Despite measuring just 26mm, the HP Photosmart R927 digital camera features a large full colour LCD screen measuring 7.6 cm with a 170 degree viewing angle, making it even easier to capture, view and make edits to images using the on-board menu options.
Productivity on the go with notebook ‘powerhouses’
Whilst HP has a definite consumer focus for the exhibition itself, a number of new business products will be launched in the Saudi market during the GITEX period. Outside of the exhibition, HP will be encouraging Saudi businessmen to ‘go mobile’ with its latest range of notebooks. Seen for the first time in Saudi Arabia, The HP Compaq 9400 Notebook PC series and HP Compaq 6300 Notebook PC series feature the latest Intel® Core™ Duo processor technology,(1) which enables users to simultaneously run multiple applications to work more efficiently. The 17 inch, HP Compaq 9400 Notebook PC series features the latest processor technology and improved performance, to help mobile professionals with extensive regional travel plans, stay connected and productive.
Additionally, a new desktop PC, assembled from HP’s plant in the Kingdom will be available for the first time during the GITEX period.
