ALBAWABA - Houthis announced targeting three passing vessels in the Red and Mediterranean seas, including an oil tanker using ballistic missiles and drones.
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the latest operations against passing vessels in the Mediterranean and Red Seas came in response to the latest Israeli massacre in Mawasi Khan Younis in Gaza.
The massacre resulted in the killing of at least 90 people who were taking refuge in tents after the Israelis forced them to move to what it claimed to be a "safe zone".
In a televised statement, Saree stated that the Houthis had attacked the Bentley I refined goods carrier and the Chios Lion oil tanker in the Red Sea. Late on Monday, US Central Command acknowledged the attacks but claimed no damage or injuries had been detected.
The Houthis announced they had also joined the Iraqi Islamic Resistance in striking the Olvia in the Mediterranean Sea. Reuters could not independently verify the attack.
The managers of the Panama-flagged Bentley I, the Liberia-flagged Chios Lion, and the Cyprus-flagged Olvia could not be reached for comment.
Earlier on Monday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced that two boats were attacked in the Red Sea off Yemen's port city of Hodeidah, with one ship reporting considerable damage.
Since November, the Houthis swore to "retaliate" against Israel after it launched its latest brutal aggression on Gaza, continuing to kill hundreds of Palestinians daily.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 38,664+ people, with more than 89,097+ injuries.
Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
