ALBAWABA- Houthi military spokesperson Commander Yahya Saree announced the downing of a U.S. MQ-9 drone over Ma'rib, marking the third such incident in 10 days and the sixth since the onset of the U.S.-led aggression on Yemen.

Saree detailed that the Yemeni Armed Forces successfully targeted and shot down the drone while it was conducting hostile missions in the airspace of Ma'rib Governorate.

This latest operation is part of the ongoing Battle of the Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad, which the Houthi forces claim is in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

However, Yemeni journalists have released videos contradicting the Houthi claims. These videos suggest that pro-Yemeni government forces from the Second Brigades were responsible for shooting down the drone in the desert of the oil-rich Ma'rib governorate in eastern Yemen.

The footage shows an apparently undamaged American MQ-9 drone, leading to speculation that it may have been brought down electronically rather than by missile fire.
