Syrian opposition Prime Minister Ghassan Hitto has resigned his post, only four months after his appointment, AFP reported. During a turbulent period, Hitto was unable to form a government amid reports of conflict between Islamist and secular factions within the coalition.
"I announce I will not continue in my capacity as prime minister tasked with leading the interim government, though I emphasise I will continue working for the interests of the revolution and towards achieving its objectives," Hitto said in an online statement.
