The governor of Kef announced that for the academic year 2005-2006, Kef education system will have several innovations. One of the principal innovations will be the opening of the Higher Institute of Music and Theatre, which will have 120 students for the first batch. Another innovation is the creation of a new library and laboratories to be used for data processing classes. The cost of new classes and laboratories is estimated to be around 3.5 million dinars. In the academic year 2005-2006, the Higher Institute of Sports and Physical Education will also have a semi-Olympic swimming pool, which cost about 1.5 million dinars.
