ALBAWABA - According to the Israeli news website Walla, Hezbollah had planned to assassinate former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon.

The Israeli army stated on Tuesday that it had foiled an attempt by Lebanon's Hezbollah to assassinate a top security official.

The Israeli army further stated that Hezbollah intended to assassinate a senior Israeli security official with an explosive device. However, Israel did not release the identity of the individual targeted by Hezbollah.

"We warned the targeted person before the bombing," Israel revealed. The army further stated that the explosive device was linked to a remote control system and was equipped with a camera and a cell phone.
