ALBAWABA - In an official statement, the Lebanese group Hezbollah officially mourned the commander of Hezbollah’s Southern Front, in the strike that killed secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah.

On September 23, Hezbollah, the Lebanese movement, said in a statement that its senior commander, Ali Karaki, "enjoys full health and wellness" and disputed allegations that he was killed in an Israeli assault on Beirut earlier that day.

Later on Friday, the Israeli army confirmed the assassination of the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, in an airstrike in the suburb of Beirut on Friday.

Earlier reports by Israel revealed that the army had carried out a series of airstrikes on Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut's southern suburb targeting Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
