Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah dismissed Monday claims his group received a large quantity of chemical weapons from Syria.

Nasrallah described the claims Hezbollah had received chemical arms as “laughable,” stressing that religious reasons prohibited his group from acquiring the banned weapons.

A US-led plan to hit targets in Syria over Damascus’s alleged use of chemical weapons was put on hold earlier this month after Damascus agreed to a Russian-US plan to destroy its chemical arms stockpile.
