As avid P!NK fans throughout the UAE count down the days until her debut concert, Herbal Essences reveal the lucky winners of their local talent competition, aimed at finding an exciting new support band to open at P!NK’s forthcoming gig on September 5th.
Winning Dubai-based band Naree, performed and sang the night away to impress the judges at the Hard Rock Café event last night, and beat off stiff competition from two other funky new local acts, to be awarded the Herbal Essences Support Band crown.
Front woman from the winning band – Naree said; “It really is a dream come true and we’ve enjoyed every second of this experience. We can’t wait to play on stage and open for such a mega superstar like Pink. We really can’t thank Herbal Essences enough for giving us such a unique opportunity”
Herbal Essences, renowned for their Naughty but Nice activities in the region were delighted to be part of a project designed to encourage young music makers.
“The quality of the bands that entered was exceptional and all four judges had a very difficult time in selecting the Herbal Essences Support Band winner.” said Ahmed Rizk of Herbal Essences.
“We’re delighted to provide Naree with this opportunity to showcase their talents at next week’s Pink concert in Dubai,” added Ahmed Rizk
Dubai Radio was invited to judge; with other panel members from Herbal Essences and Hard Rock Café – Ambassadors of Rock, and organizers of the Pink concert - Mirage Promotions. Local media, who attended the event, were introduced to the hot new band, (Band Name), that will Get the Party Started on September 5th.
“HRC is excited to host Herbal Essences support band audition for the Pink concert. This is a great opportunity for a band to gain experience and exposure in front of an audience of 10,000 people,” said Ms. Bianca Cartin from Hard Rock Café.
Organizers of the P!NK concert, Mirage Promotions praised the success of the support band event. “P!NK is an exciting artist and will attract a mixed crowd appreciative of her many pop, rock and urban hits. This really is the best possible event for a local band to be introduced to a very large audience! I am sure the winners of the Herbal Essences P!NK competition, Band Name, are VERY excited to be the ones chosen to GET THE PARTY STARTED,” said Nasim Tabatabaei, PR and Marketing Manager at Mirage Promotions.
The P!NK concert, with Naree’s opening will be held at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on September 5th.
