ALBAWABA - At least two people were reported killed in the heavy rains and floods in central Mexico, local authorities revealed on Saturday.
A civil protection report confirmed that two bodies were found in the city of Queretaro shortly before midnight Friday. "They were swept away by rainwater," the report explained.
In detail, AFP reported that Mexico City also experiences heavy rains that caused a temporary halt in operations at Benito Juarez International Airport on Saturday.
The rains caused floods that led to serious damage to houses and cars, and prompted federal authorities to initiate a military emergency response plan.
