Hamas member dies in car blast as Israeli troops kill six Palestinians in West Bank, Gaza Strip

A Palestinian activist Wednesday night died after his car exploded in the West Bank town of Nablus. Two other passengers were wounded. Palestinian officials blamed Israel, saying that the car, carrying Raed Saad, a senior member of Hamas movement, was rigged with explosives.  

 

Earlier, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian fighter dead after two Israeli settlers were injured when the Palestinian opened fire on them in the West Bank city of Hebron, Israeli media reported. He was the sixth Palestinian reported killed since late Tuesday. 

 

The soldiers sustained light to moderate wounds when the Palestinian fired on the post in the Jewish neighborhood of Tel Rumeida in the divided city. They were evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital for treatment. 

 

Meanwhile, Israeli occupying forces killed late Tuesday and early Wednesday four Palestinians in separate incidents, as a fifth died of his wounds he sustained after being shot. In addition Israeli troops blew up one house in Hebron.  

 

Ahmed Khameis Atteia, 29, was shot dead Wednesday morning by the Israeli forces in the West Bank city of Qalqilia. He was identified as the head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the city. The soldiers took his corpse to unknown destination, residents said. 

 

In another incident, Fadi Tawfeeq Assasa , 21, has died of his wounds he sustained by the Israeli occupying forces in Muthlath Al Shuhda’ village, south of Hebron, Palestinian medical sources said. Israeli sources said he was a Fatah-Tanzim activist, who tried to escape an attempt to arrest him. 

 

Late Tuesday, the Israeli occupying forces shot and wounded a 12 year old Ahmed Mustafa Al Tirawe, from balata refugee camp, WAFA news agency reported.  

 

Two other Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli troops in Wadi village, south east of Gaza city, WAFA reported. 

 

Palestinian security directorate mentioned that the Israeli occupying forces had handed out the two corpses of Hadi Saleim Ayash and Ali Mustfa Abu Taha, in their twenties, whom afterwards were vacated to al Aqsa hospital of Deir al Balah, south Gaza city.  

 

In Hebron, the Israeli forces on Wednesday razed a house, Palestinian sources said. According to these sources, the Israeli troops forced the family of the Palestinian prisoner Shadi Abu Shkhedim whom sentenced seven- life –imprisonment inside the Israeli jail, out of the house under the threat of force before having blown up the two- storey- house.  

 

On Tuesday night, another Palestinian was killed instantly and seventeen Palestinians were wounded, two critically, during the Israeli incursion into Rammallah and Al Birah cities of the West Bank, Palestinian medical sources said.  

 

The same sources added Ramzi Jardat, 23, was shot and killed when the Israeli occupation forces opened fire toward a group of Palestinian youngsters.
